Bernard Uechtritz, Director

Australian Bernard Uechtritz is the eighth child and fifth son of Alf and Mary Lou Uechtritz. Raised in Papua New Guinea, his education was completed at “The Southport School” on Australia’s Gold Coast and “Longreach Pastoral College” in the outback of Queensland Australia. Since 1983, Mr. Uechtritz has been involved in various business ventures including real estate brokerage investments, the motion picture industry and the development of the equestrian sport of polocrosse. In 1989, Mr. Uechtritz founded Polocrosse Internationale which is focused on the promotion, products and coaching of the equestrian sport of Polocrosse throughout North and South America and Ireland. From 1998-2000, Mr. Uechtritz was successful in the aggressive turn-around of a failing real estate firm ranked last in the market share. It was later sold to Wall Street Firm, NRT, after being ranked number one in the area Luxury Market Place. Mr. Uechtritz’s involvement in the film industry includes being a founding member of “Rally for the Ranch” with President of HBO, Chris Albrecht, and Castlerock Pictures, Rob Reiner. This campaign reversed Washington Mutual Bank and Ahmanson Land Company’s proposed development of 10,000 acres of the pristine Santa Monica Mountains above the Malibu coastline, which was subsequently dedicated by President Bush as state park land. Mr. Uechtritz maintains and expands a global network of personal contacts within the entertainment and real estate industries, world corporations as well as in the political sphere. His equestrian pursuits, passions and personal involvement have included most aspects of the equestrian industry from rodeo and English show events to Polo and Polocrosse. Mr. Uechtritz spends his down time with his wife and four children at their home in Allen, TX where he breeds, trains and rides horses specializing in multiple disciplines. They also own a cattle ranch near Buffalo, TX. Mr. Uechtritz was selected as member of the USA Polocrosse 2007 World Cup Team Squad and is currently a playing member of the USPA as well as the Los Colinas Polo Club.
