Bob Hopkins, Director
Bob Hopkins is president of Philanthropy World Magazine, dedicated to the philanthropic spirit. Mr. Hopkins received the CFRE classification (certified fund raising executive), and has served the board of directors of the national foundation of NSFRE (National Society of Fund Raising Executives) from 1991-1996. He is past chairman of National Philanthropy Day: 1992-94. He is a popular lecturer, speaking both in Spanish and English about his experiences in creating nonprofit organizations and raising much needed funds that make differences in organizations he has directed. Mr. Hopkins is a faculty member of Indiana University's Fund Raising School, and the Southwest Symposium on Fund Raising sponsored by NSFRE. He has taught at the University of Texas in Arlington, El Paso and Dallas, and teaches seminars on board development, special events, and fund raising techniques sponsored by foundations, the United Way, and Centers of Nonprofit Management. Mr. Hopkins has served on many boards including positions on the AANA, the Vanguard Foundation, The Foundation for Responsible Television and Dallas International. He is the founder of Philanthropy Inc., a nonprofit to teach students about philanthropy, PAVE, (Philanthropy and Volunteers in Education). Philanthropy Inc. also conducts seminars for volunteers to teach them about their roles and responsibilities when serving as board members of a nonprofit organization.
