The Park is projected to generate over $350 million in revenues for the facility and other businesses during its first ten years of operation

Hotel Occupancy Taxes
Over $7 million in sales and hotel occupancy tax revenues are projected to be generated during the first ten years of the Texas Horse Park’s operations.

Visitors and Convention Business
Tourism is big business in Texas, with over $4.9 billion spent on travel within the state in 2005. Most of this spending (60%) was by non-Texas residents. Visitors and conventioneers will be able to watch world-class equestrian competitions or ride a horse on nearly 40 miles of uninterrupted trails; discovering a “true Texas experience” in a state-of-the-art facility surrounded by nature yet just a few minutes from the Dallas Convention Center.

Ecotourism
Texas residents and non-residents spent nearly $5.4 billion on wildlife recreation in Texas in 2001. The Texas Horse Park, along with the activities planned for the Great Trinity Forest and other parts of the Trinity River Corridor,will create an important new nature destination as an added attraction for the millions of people who visit the Metroplex each year.
