John Carpenter, Director

John Carpenter is the Chairman of the Board, CEO and President of Lachlan Alliance. A native of Dallas, he lives here with his wife, Cele Briscoe Carpenterand children, Benjamin (23), Austin (21), and Bonner (18). Mr. Carpenter received a B.B.A in 1974 from Texas Tech University and an M.B.A. in 1977 from the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Carpenter worked in various positions for Southland Financial Corporation from 1977-1989 before serving as President of Las Colinas, Inc for three years. In 1992, Mr. Carpenter became Chairman and CEO of JPI Companies before taking his present position with Lachlan Alliance in 1998. His civic involvement includes service to the Highland Park Independent School District as Board President, HPISD Educational Foundation Director, Executive Committee member of the Trinity River Improvement Association, former Director of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Director of the West Dallas Community School, former Director of Central Dallas Ministries, Director of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, Director of the State Fair of Texas, a Trustee on the Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation, a member of the Salesmanship Club of Texas, the Real Estate Council, the Dallas Citizens Council and the Urban Land Institute.
