Peter Pletcher, Director

Peter Pletcher, owner of PJP Farms in Magnolia, Texas, has been a hunter jumper professional for 20 years. He was the 2002 and 2004 Chronicle of the Horse World Championship Hunter Rider. A member of the 1983 US Olympic Show Jumping Team, Mr. Pletcher began riding at the age of 12 when he received a horse for his birthday. His jumping career began on the beaches of Galveston, Texas where he could be seen jumping picnic tables. In 1998, Peter won the Madison Square Garden Hunter Classic and the WCGR Professional Challenge. He took the grand green hunter championships at the Pennsylvania national and the Washington International horse shows. In 2003, Peter was given the high honor of being named the 2003 World Hunter Rider of the Year. He is a past winner of the President Cup Grand Prix, the Emerson Burr Trophy and is one of only five individuals to score a 100 at the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show in the Hunter Classic on the horse Geste. He continues to win numerous competitions, shows and championships, and is considered to be one of the top hunter/jumper trainers in the United States.
